How does dictate2us work?

1. The user records audio using the dictate2us app and saves the recording.
2. The audio file is securely uploaded to our transcription platform.
3. A dedicated typist transcribes the audio into a Microsoft Word document.
4. An editor reviews the document, making necessary amendments for accuracy and formatting.
5. The document is proofread to ensure accuracy and quality.
6. The finished document is then either emailed to you or made available for download.

How do we charge for transcription?

We charge per minute of audio, providing transparency and upfront knowledge of the file's cost before uploading. This pricing model reflects the fact that people dictate 3 to 4 times faster than they can type. For example, a 10-minute dictation file could take up to 40 minutes to transcribe. With dictate2us, you only pay for the actual audio duration of 10 minutes.

How long does it take to transcribe?

The dictate2us app allows for swift delivery of transcribed documents. Once your encrypted file arrives at our servers, it is promptly decrypted and assigned to your regular typist. After editing and proofreading, our online transcription platform will email you a copy of the finished document. Alternatively, if preferred, we can provide a download link for direct access on your phone, tablet, or PC. We return work in Microsoft Word format and can even type directly onto your personal letterhead or template.
